Electric Cylinder Mowers- Use a horizontal cylinder of blades which cuts against a fixed bottom blade for a superior scissor-like quality cut. They are the most energy efficient of all the cutting systems which is why they tend to have smaller motors or engines than rotary mowers. They are fitted with rear rollers which give you a traditional "striped effect" to you lawn. These types of machines are not normally recommended where stones or objects are likely to be present within the grass.
